In the ongoing match of the IPL 2020, Mumbai Indians are up against Delhi Capitals for the first Qualifier. Whoever would dominate the show from here would directly land into the finals of the season. Both the teams would be trying their best to bag the game in their favour as this match serves as the crucial stepping stone towards the trophy. Mumbai is on the field with their bats first as per the invitation of Delhi.
One of the most talking elements of the match has become the presence of Prayer Aunty in the stands. The lucky charm of Mumbai, the prayer aunty, is there in the stands in the match between Delhi and Mumbai. She was spotted by the cameramen doing her usual antics, and fans have been appreciating her will to be with her team even on foreign land.
She was seen for the first time between the final match between Mumbai Indians and Pune Supergiant in 2017. When Pune needed seven runs off five balls, she closed her eyes and refused to watch the thriller. The tables turned, and Mumbai lifted the trophy that year and people got unstoppable while appreciating her for the prayer she made for the team. With her eyes closed and folded hands, she became an internet sensation overnight.
Prayer Aunty’s real identity
Later it was revealed by Abhishek Bachchan in one of his tweets that the lady is none other than Nita Ambani’s mother. Nita Ambani is the owner of the Mumbai franchise, and so her presence became reasonable in the game. She is considered as the lucky charm of the team and popularly referred to as ‘Nani’. Her name is Purnima Dalal, and she is the mother in law of famed industrialist Mukesh Ambani.
She is back in the stands for the first qualifier match and seems like Mumbai would need her precious prayers a lot. They are up for the most competitive match of IPL 2020 so far, and her prayers might again bring ample luck for the team. Talking about the other match of the IPL 2020, SRH would take on RCB in the eliminator.
