Mumbai police arrest a man for stalking and harassing Sara Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar has been one of the great ambassadors of the game and has managed to hold on to the stardom even after retiring from cricket four years ago. But being a celebrity in a country like India has its disadvantages also as the cameras follow their families as well. In one such incident, Mumbai police have arrested for constantly stalking and harassing Sachin’s daughter Sara Tendulkar. However, the person seems to be mentally unstable and will undergo a medical test now.

Ever since the master blaster has retired from the game, the fans are eager about the careers of his children. Sara Tendulkar and Arjun Tendulkar are his two children who were also present at Wankhede during his farewell Test match. While his son is an all-rounder and is impressing everyone in his early days in cricket, Sara seems to be specialising in a certain field. The excitement of the fans is natural but they should not look into the personal things of celebrities.

What actually happened?

The man arrested by Mumbai police hails from West Bengal who was caught stalking and harassing Sara Tendulkar. He is said to have made as many as 20 calls to Sachin Tendulkar’s Bandra residence and has threatened to kidnap her even proposing Sara for marriage. Though it is still unclear how the person managed to get hold of a landline number of Sachin’s home. Stalker’s family claimed that he is mentally unstable and will undergo a medical examination now.

According to the reports in India Today, the stalker is unemployed and a college dropout who passed lewd comments to the 20-year-old Sara on the phone calls. Sachin’s daughter lodged a complaint a while ago against the stalker and the police swung into the action straight away. The cops reportedly also used the location of nearby telephone towers from where he used to make the calls.

The incident, however, is pretty saddening as the privacy of a celebrity like Sachin Tendulkar has been threatened which should be stopped.
