Australian skipper Tim Paine has been heavily criticised for his comments from behind the stumps on day 4. There was a negative bone prevailing between him and his counterpart Virat Kohli right throughout the second Test. Things got quite worse as they had a go at each other quite a few times. However, it got only uglier when Paine tried to lodge a complaint about Virat to Murali Vijay.

While the Indian opener was on strike, and the Aussie skipper had a constant chatter from behind the stumps. Yet, Paine tried to maintain dignity and didn’t get abusive. On one of such instances, he put forward a school-boyish sort of a grievance asking Vijay if he liked Kohli as a bloke.

“I know he is your captain but you can’t seriously like him as a bloke,” he said. This didn’t really go well with the Indian fans. Former Royal Challengers Bangalore team owner Siddharth Mallya was among those who profoundly trolled the Kangaroos skipper. Siddharth, son of Vijay Mallya took a hilarious dig at Paine.

Worst chat in the history of cricket sledging

Mallya has a good relationship with the Indian skipper Kohli as they have known each other for many years now. “@tdpaine36 might have the worst chat in the history of cricket sledging. My dog could have come up with better #AUSvIND,” wrote Sid Mallya in his tweet.

On the fifth morning the Aussies wrapped things up real quick and India were bowled out in the first hour losing the match by 146 runs. This is the first win for the Australian team under Tim Paine as they levelled the series 1-1.
