One of the most technical batsmen the game has ever seen, Nasser Hussain clearly understands how difficult to bat on The Wanderers track. The former English skipper has been following the series very keenly is one of those people who lambasted the curators for preparing such kind of tracks.

The pitch was so green on day 1 that many people in the audience failed to segregate it from the outfield. As the play progressed, the cracks opened up significantly and the pitch has turned all the more difficult to bat on. Legendary fast bowler Michael Holding called the pitch “S**t” whilst speaking to ESPN Cricinfo, which clearly explains the situation.

The umpires do hold the power in their hand to cancel a game if they feel the playing conditions are too unfavorable or precarious. Whilst many former cricketers have expressed their concern and urged to cancel the game, Kohli and his men are still battling it out hard. Opener Murali Vijay got a nasty blow early in the day off Kagiso Rabada and Kohli was complaining to the umpires about the cracks at that point.

Nasser Hussain has two things to say

The Indian side was under the scanner after losing the first two Tests. People on social media termed them “Flat Track Bullies” and a lot of other things. But Nasser Hussain feels this Indian side deserves a massive applause for showing the courage to bat on this vicious track. He hailed the skipper and bravery shown by them during these adverse situations.

“Two things I will say about this test. If anyone ever calls this Indian batting line up flat track bullies again they need to be reminded of the skill and bravery they have shown in this innings,” Read is Tweet.

He posted another Tweet where he expressed his support for the swashbuckling Rohit Sharma. He mentioned if he is not a Test match batsman, then he saw a different Rohit Sharma in the last five years. ” If Rohit Sharma is not a test match batsman then I have been watching a different Rohit Sharma over the last 5 years,” He wrote.
