Warner was all set to lead the Sunrirsers Hyderabad in Indian Premier League 2020. This was the first occasion when the 33-year-old was going to take charge of any side as a skipper after finishing his ball-tampering sentence.

However, BCCI postponed the tournament for an indefinite period due to the novel Coronavirus outbreak that has taken several lives across the globe. Moreover, the chances are quite slim that the tournament might be organized in the ongoing year.
