Netherlands coach and former Australia cricketer Ryan Campbell got admitted to a hospital after suffering a heart attack in the UK while being with his children for leisure in a playground. It is to be noted that the 50-year-old went through the trauma on the 16th of April while enjoying the weekend with his children. The news first came to the fore when Australian journalist and Campbell’s close friend Gareth Parker tweeted about the matter.

Campbell has been the coach of the Netherlands team since 2017. He was returning to Europe after the Netherlands’ tour of New Zealand and during his visit, he had visited his extended family in Perth and close friends including Parker. He has played for both Australia and Hong Kong at the highest level. While he donned the Australian jersey in two ODIs in 2002 due to the absence of regular wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist, he featured for Hong Kong in the 2016 T20 World Cup, aged 44 years.
