New Zealand and Bangladesh are set to clash in a three-match ODI series starting 20th March. The first game of the series will be played in Dunedin, and the visiting team Bangladesh would like to start the tour with a victory. They will be captained by veteran batsman Tamim Iqbal under whom they won the home ODI series against West Indies by 3-0.

On the other hand, the home side will be led by wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Latham in the absence of regular skipper Kane Williamson. The hosts will also miss the services of senior player Ross Taylor in the first ODI due to a hamstring injury.

49 – Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal has amassed 7360 runs in 210 ODIs including 13 hundreds and 49 fifties. He needs one more fifty to become the first player from Bangladesh to complete 50 half-centuries in ODIs.


Southee to surpass Hadlee

585 – Kiwi pacer Tim Southee has picked up 585 wickets in his international career. He needs 5 more wickets to surpass Richard Hadlee (589) and become the most successful fast bowler for New Zealand.  

10 – In ODI cricket, Southee has 190 wickets to his name and will require 10 more wickets in the series to become the fifth Kiwi bowler to cross the 200-wicket mark.
