The Kiwis have already wrapped up the series at Christchurch courtesy of Martin Guptill special. They have played some outstanding cricket throughout the series which is good news for them heading toward the world cup. Meanwhile, visitors would push for the consolation win and get something positive out of the series as this tour hasn’t started as they would have expected.
The same story has been repeated for Bangladeshi in both the matches; they came out to bat first and lost half their side for 93 runs inside 20 overs. Then some middle order recovery from Mithun and Sabbir Rahman who have shown good maturity in both the matches which has got their team to a total of 229 runs.
Then the second innings was a Martin Guptill show, he continued his form from the previous match and scored a brilliant 16th ODI hundred. He was ably supported by his captain Williamson with a solid 63 who has ended this series on a positive note after a string of low scores.
New Zealand captain has been rested for the final ODI, Tom Latham will be taking over his duties. Colin Munro has been called as Kane Williamson replacement and likely to get the opening slot with Henry Nicholls coming down the order.
