India began 2019 by registering their maiden Test series win in Australia and followed it with an ODI series win after being 0-1 down. The ODI series gave their middle-order enough batting time which was their only concern. They will now tour to New Zealand where they began with a 5-match ODI series. The Kiwis’ 2019 began with a 3-0 home win over the visiting Sri Lanka. Both the teams will be aiming to sort out their issues with respect to the World Cup by end of this series.

All the approaching milestones for the players ahead of the New Zealand-India ODI series:

99 – Number of wickets Mohammed Shami has bagged in his ODI career thus far. If he picks up at least one wicket in the next three ODI matches, he will become the fastest Indian to complete 100 ODI wickets.
