India began 2019 by registering their maiden Test series win in Australia and followed it with an ODI series win after being 0-1 down. The ODI series gave their middle-order enough batting time which was their only concern. They will now tour to New Zealand where they began with a 5-match ODI series. The Kiwis’ 2019 began with a 3-0 home win over the visiting Sri Lanka. Both the teams will be aiming to sort out their issues with respect to the World Cup by end of this series.

All the approaching milestones for the players ahead of the New Zealand-India ODI series:

99 – Number of wickets Mohammed Shami has bagged in his ODI career thus far. If he picks up at least one wicket in the next three ODI matches, he will become the fastest Indian to complete 100 ODI wickets.


399 – Trent Boult has bagged 399 wickets in International career thus far. He needs one more wicket to become the 5th player to complete 400 wickets across all formats for New Zealand.


1990Ravindra Jadeja needs ten more runs to complete 2000 runs in ODI cricket. He will be only the 3rd Indian and the 25th player overall in ODI cricket to score 2000+ runs and bag 150+ wickets.

Jadeja also needed six more wickets for becoming the 7th Indian to bag 400 wickets in International cricket.


4990 – Runs Shikhar Dhawan has aggregated in his ODI career from 117 innings. He needs ten more runs in his next ODI innings to become the joint 4th fastest player to 5000 runs in this format.

Dhawan scored only 182 runs from his previous nine innings when he needed 192 runs from five innings to become the 2nd quickest to 5000 ODI runs milestone.


10405 – Brian Lara is the 10th highest run-getter in ODI cricket with 10405 runs to his name. Both Virat Kohli (10385) and MS Dhoni (10366) have a chance to go past the former Windies player. However, only one of them might end the series in the top ten run-getters list in ODI cricket.


10987 – Runs Martin Guptill scored in his 285-match International cricket thus far. The New Zealand opener is 13 runs away from becoming the 6th player with 11000 International runs for the Kiwis.


11827 – Virat Kohli’s runs in his 253-match List A career. He needs 173 more runs to complete 12000 runs in this format. Kohli is one fifty-plus score away from his 100th 50+ score in List A cricket.


12946 – Runs MS Dhoni has scored in his List A career. He needs 54 more runs to become the 3rd Indian to score 13000 runs in List A cricket. Rohit Sharma has 9881 runs to his name in List A and needs 119 more runs to complete 10000-run milestone.
