Nicholas Pooran, the West Indies cricketer, tied the knots with fiancée Alyssa Miguel in an auspicious wedding ceremony. Back in November 2020, the duo got engaged after the conclusion of the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL). Though the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), now Punjab Kings (PBKS) couldn’t make the playoffs, Pooran managed to grab the attention due to his batting and field.

He even drew praises from Sachin Tendulkar, the former Indian cricketer, who lauded him for making a spectacular save at the boundary in a match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Pooran got married before South Africa’s tour of the Caribbean Islands later in June.

He took to Twitter and wrote, “Jesus has blessed me with many things in this life. None greater than having you in my life. Welcoming Mr. and Mrs. Pooran.”

In November, Pooran’s joy knew no bounds after he got engaged. He uploaded a picture where he can be seen, bending on one knee and putting the ring into the fingers of his loved one.

He captioned the picture and wrote, “God has blessed us with a great blessing. I am glad to announce that @kathrina_miguel and I got engaged. Love you Migz I got you.”

Later, Miguel also dropped the same picture to express her love for the Trinidad-born cricketer. She wrote, “He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11. Being loved by you is a blessing I thank God everyday for. Love you @nicholaspooran.”

Later, Anil Kumble, the head coach of PBKS, Jason Holder, the veteran West Indies cricketer, and Kieron Pollard, the Caribbean ODI and T20I skipper, congratulated him on the occasion.

Pooran recently played for PBKS in the 2021 IPL but flattered to deceive. The southpaw was moved around in the middle order and he failed to perform. Thereafter, he was a recipient of severe criticism from the netizens.

Recently, he was retained to play for the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the 2021 edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Last season, batting at number four, Pooran scored a superb ton for the Warriors and he would be looking to replicate something similar.
