The home team Sri Lanka outplayed India with an all-round game in the opening game of the Nidahas Trophy on Tuesday. India will need to work a lot for opening their account before they face Bangladesh in the second game. India’s bowling depth might require 20 extra runs for defending and is possible only if India’s middle order steps up big time. Rohit Sharma’s recent scores are a worrying factor for them while Shikhar Dhawan’s rich run being a boon.

1Bangladesh won only once in their last 13 matches in the T20I format. They defeated Sri Lanka in Colombo last year by 45 runs after which they lost all the four T20Is they played by a huge margin.

5 – India defeated Bangladesh in all the five T20I meetings between the two sides. India faced Bangladesh in the WT20 on three occasions and twice in the Asia Cup T20.
