Reliance Jio TV has enhanced the viewing experience of the Indian cricket fans by inserting various interesting features in the live streaming of the ongoing Nidahas Trophy on its app. These new features give the viewers an opportunity to get closer to the game than they otherwise would be. It almost gives them a stadium like experience.

Normally while watching the game on TV or on any online app, the viewers have to settle for the angle that the broadcaster provides them, but while watching it on Jio TV, they have five different camera angles available and they can pick one of them as per their convenience. Similarly, they can pick the language too in which they want to listen to the commentary.  It’s available in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.

Jio has hired two of India’s stalwart fast bowlers Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra for the ball-by-ball commentary while accompanying them in the commentary box is the famous Television presenter and the IPL host of the past 10 seasons, Gaurav Kapoor.

Apart from camera angle and commentary, there is a catch-up feature too using which the viewer will be able to watch any particular delivery bowled before they tuned in or the one they wish to watch again at any point.

However, to be able to have all these features enabled on their app, the viewers will have to make sure that the Jio TV app in their phone is updated as it will work only on the most recent version of the app.

“Interactivity in Sports will transform the way sports is consumed in India. Jio continues to deliver the best and most premium content exclusively to its users through the Jio apps. Additionally we have challenged status quo and redefined the existing user experience with the help of technology. Jio will continue to bring a superlative consumer experience in the areas of sports, AR, VR, Immersive viewing and more in the coming days.” Akash Ambani, the director of Jio was quoted as saying by insidesport.
