Umpire Nigel Llong had a tough outing on Monday as he was at the helm officiating one of the greatest and enthralling Test matches of all time. One of the best umpires in the fraternity, Llong has grown in stature in recent times and is currently a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires and officiates in international matches – Tests, ODIs, and T20Is.

There were a lot of brilliant moments in the game between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan spin king Rangana Herath made a mockery of the Pakistani batsmen by preventing them chasing down a 134-run target. Dilruwan Perera assisted his senior pro with a brilliant spell and Sri Lanka eventually won by 21 runs and registered an unprecedented victory at Abu Dhabi.

Llong was in the spotlight on various occasions and he did a brilliant job giving out correct decisions pretty much all the time. There was a little moment during the game, which turned a catalyst behind the inception of various hilarious memes on social media. The batsman had hit the ball down the ground and to escape the swiftly approaching ball, Nigel Llong had to do some stretching and he was lucky enough to not injured.
