'No swearing mate' - Harbhajan Singh takes a sly dig while extending birthday wishes to Brett Lee

Harbhajan and Lee started their career in the same era and went forward to establish themselves as one of the most successful bowlers of their country. The duo has been under the spotlight even after their retirement. Harbhajan and Lee are also spotted in the commentary box lately.

Harbhajan, who is known for his tongue-in-cheek rumour extended birthday wishes to Lee in a humorous way. The off-spinner never shies away from posting funny captions and pictures on his Twitter. Harbhajan took a dig at the Australian speedster by reminding him about his habit of swearing at batsmen after getting hit for a boundary. However, Harbhajan also acknowledged Lee as one of the nicest Australian players that he has played with.

“No swearing mate it’s only went for 4..it’s your birthday hope u r having a great day binga brother @BrettLee_58 one the nicest Aussie I have met and played with.. god bless you brother,” wrote Harbhajan on his official Twitter account.

Brett Lee, who turned 43 on 8th November is regarded as one of the finest fast bowlers that Australia has ever produced. In his illustrious career, the speedster has scalped 380 wickets in 221 ODIs including 9 five-wicket hauls. Lee was known for his pace and regularly clocked 140 km/h and above throughout his career.

Lee’s career was not bound only with white-ball cricket. He went on to represent Australia with the red ball in 76 Tests and scalped 310 wickets including ten 10-wicket hauls. Lee was also seen in the Indo-Australian film UnIndian opposite Tannishtha Chatterjee.

Harbhajan was also successful to establish himself as one of the best spinners of the country. While representing India in 103 Tests, the off-spinner scalped 417 wickets at an economy of 2.84. He also went on to don the coloured jersey where he picked up 269 wickets in 236 ODIs. The off-break bowler also became the first Indian to scalp a hat-trick in Test cricket. Harbhajan was conferred the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour, in 2009.
