Ever since he retired from cricket earlier this year, Wasim Jaffer has taken to social media platforms to stay in touch with his fans. Over the last few days, he has been using some hilarious memes to show his humorous angle on Twitter. Even as India started their Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia, Jaffer has managed to make his presence felt on social media.

Recently, he trolled an Australian journalist, named Chloe-Amanda Bailey, who took a sly dig at the fan following of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. The journo stated that since both Rohit and Virat are Indians, the fans should also stay in unison and cheer for their national heroes.

She uploaded a picture of veteran Indian actor Naseeruddin Shah to express her opinions. She captioned the picture and wrote, “Why do Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma fans dislike each other so much? They are both India? I need an explanation please, ”

Jaffer, in his own unique way, got back to Bailey. The veteran uploaded a picture mentioning, “Noticed you copied my style, ”

Here’s Wasim Jaffer’s reply-

Rohit and Virat in Australia

For the time being, Virat is busy playing in the Day-Night Test against Australia that is currently taking place at the Adelaide Oval. The 32-year-old would be leaving the country after the first Test itself in order to be with his wife Anushka Sharma, who’s due to give birth in the month of January. Prior to the Tests, he played some decent knocks in the ODI and T20I series.

As far as Rohit is concerned, he missed the ODI series and T20I series. Moreover, he isn’t a part of the first two Tests either due to the hamstring injury that he sustained during the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League. To start with, he wasn’t included in any of the three squads.

But later, he was added to the Test squad only to be ruled out of the first two Tests. In the meantime, the 33-year-old Rohit has landed on Australian soil for the last two Tests. He shared a picture where he gave a thumbs up from inside the flight.
