David Warner is the 5th highest run-scorer in IPL history
David Warner has a stellar record with the bat in IPL cricket. The Australian left-hander is the 5th highest run-scorer in the Indian T20 League and has amassed 5449 runs at a superb average of 41.59, and a strike rate of close to 140.
Warner is also the only cricketer in IPL history to have won the Orange Cap award on 3 occasions. Apart from that, the 34-year-old also led the SRH side to their maiden IPL title in the year 2016 as well.
And, several fans have lent their support to Warner on social media. While one fan tweeted that Warner has carried the SRH side and deserves to be treated better, another feels that Warner is the king of the SRH franchise. Another fan tweeted that the IPL has not seen a player as consistent as Warner.
Yet another fan tweeted that without Warner, SRH will be like a body without a soul. Another fan tweeted that Warner is the backbone of the SRH franchise.
