Prominent Bollywood actor and TV star Sushant Singh Rajput left the world in shock after he committed suicide on June 14. Sushant, who was reportedly battling against depression, was found dead at his Bandra residence.

The untimely demise of Sushant stunned the entire nation and condolences started pouring across the internet. The actor had delivered many stellar performances in movies like PK, Kedarnath, Kai Po Che! and Chhichhore.

But one of the highlights of Sushant’s career was his near-perfect portrayal of MS Dhoni in his biopic– MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. Sushant had earned many accolades for copying Dhoni’s mannerisms and batting style in the biopic.

From the start to the end of the biopic, Sushant had left no stones unturned to keep the audience at the edge of there seats. One of the riveting scenes of the movie was its climax, where Dhoni (Sushant) smashed the winning six against Sri Lanka at Wankhede to end India’s 28 year-long wait for the World Cup trophy.

Many videos and photos of Sushant started surfacing across the social media upon his demise. One of such videos features Sushant watching the climax of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. Many fans were left awestruck by the striking resemblance between Dhoni and Sushant in the film.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story was a major success at the Box Office

The much-viewed video starts with the scene playing on a television screen. The camera then pans to Sushant, who is seen sitting on the couch with a book and a pen in hand, with his eyes glued to the screen. After watching his own glimpse in the scene, Sushant makes a hand gesture and calls ‘Dhoni!’ in excitement.

The biopic, which depicted Dhoni’s enthralling journey from his childhood to India’s 2011 World Cup win, was a major success at the Box Office, collecting over INR 200 crores worldwide.

The director of the movie, Neeraj Pandey had also said that Dhoni was left devastated after learning about the demise of Sushant. “Apart from calling Mahi bhai, I have also called two of his best friends Mihir Diwakar and Arun Pandey. They all seemed very upset with such terrible news. Mahi bhai was in shock to hear the news and got shattered,” he had said.
