These are happy times in the Mirza-Malik family – the trans-national sporting couple Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza. On November 15, the ace Indian tennis star turned 32 and it came just days after the duo welcomed their first child Izhaan. The mood was understandably happy at the Malik-Mirza household and the Pakistani all-rounder shared an adorable picture of the family, which included besides the sporting couple and their baby, his in-laws.

Sania also posted a picture of herself on her Twitter account thanking everybody for the wishes. Fans too came in with their wishes for the couple and appreciated the picture posted by Malik. Both the sporting individuals have currently taken off from their respective disciplines to make the fullest opportunity of spending time with the family. The two got married in April 2010.

Both Shoaib and Sania make full use of time with family

While Sania has been away from tennis for a while because of pregnancy reasons and is aiming to return before the Tokyo Olympics of 2020, 36-year-old Shoaib Malik has pulled out of the T10 League scheduled to begin in a few days’ time to devote time to his family.

Malik, who plays only limited-overs cricket for Pakistan, last featured in the three-match ODI series against New Zealand in the United Arab Emirates which was tied 1-1. It has been a busy season for the veteran in international cricket at home as Pakistan have been playing a series of ODI and T20I tournaments. Malik has scored over 11,000 runs and taken 216 wickets in 35 Tests, 274 ODIs and 108 T20Is with 12 hundreds. The man will be one of the key members of the Pakistan squad in the upcoming ICC World Cup in England in 2019.

Sania, on the other hand, is a former No.1 player in doubles and has won six Grand Slam titles in doubles and mixed doubles.
