India opener Rohit Sharma’s latest post on Instagram must have delighted the fans. The opening batsman is looking all set to return to action sooner rather than later after being sidelined with an injury. Rohit Sharma has not played since the fifth T20I against New Zealand when he picked up a calf injury while batting.

The right-hander was expected to recover from the injury inside a couple of days but the calf injury was more serious. As a result, Rohit Sharma was ruled out of the subsequent ODI series as well as the forthcoming Test series. India missed him badly in the ODIs as they were whitewashed in the three-match series. In all the three games, new openers Mayank Agarwal and Prithvi Shaw failed to provide the team with a good start.

Rohit, meanwhile, can make a comeback soon as he posted a video of himself lifting weights in the gym. The opening batsman could return to action during the three-match ODI series against South Africa at home. The series will start on March 12 in Dharamsala and will end on March 18, just eleven days before the start of the IPL.

Harbhajan Singh not impressed by Rohit Sharma’s deadlift drill

While the fans must have been delighted to see Rohit Sharma lifting weight in the gym, his former India and Mumbai Indians teammate Harbhajan Singh was not. More than not being delighted, one can say that Harbhajan was not impressed as he hilariously took a dig Rohit.

Reacting to Rohit’s deadlift drill, Harbhajan hilariously wrote: “Only 40 kg for this ?? Common shaana.”

Meanwhile, both Rohit and Harbhajan will be soon seen taking on each other in the upcoming IPL. Both the players played together for Mumbai Indians for seven years, winning three IPL titles before Harbhajan was signed up by Chennai Super Kings in 2018. Rohit-led Mumbai Indians will lock horns against Super Kings in the IPL opener on March 29 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

Both the teams had played in the final of last year too when Mumbai Indians edged Chennai Super Kings in a thriller. In the process, Mumbai became the first team to win the IPL four times. Super Kings, on the other hand, have won it thrice.
