India will open their campaign against England in Over-50s Cricket World Cup that will commence in South Africa on Wednesday. They looked pretty much on the mark despite losing the warm-up game against West Indies by 2 wickets. In that game, Sanjay Beri and Tushar Zaveri played vital knocks with the bat. In the opening game, India is going to bank upon their form against England. On the other hand, their bowling unit looks balanced that restricted West Indies from chasing a nominal score of 195 runs in the warm-up game.
England looks like the favourites to win the tournament as they have announced a strong squad for the World cup. They boast a strong batting line up that comprises of Stephen Foster, Simon Myles, Mel Hussein, who will have the responsibility to score good runs with the bat. Meanwhile, they have a strong bowling line-up with the likes of Sean Cooper and David Snellgrove, who will look to grab wickets for their side.
There are no chances of rain on the matchday with sun expected to be shining upright. The wind will be blowing at a rate of 15 to 22 km/hr whereas the temperature will deviate between 16 and 27 Degree Celsius throughout the day according to Accuweather.
The track at Green Point Cricket Club is expected to offer good sporting wickets. However, there are no accurate stats available for the same. But fans can expect a match off and around 200 runs in both the innings as far as the batting firepower of both the sides is concerned. This ground hosted last game back in 1986.
