Pakistan are currently playing the first Test of the two-match series against Pakistan at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Mickey Arthur, the national team’s coach didn’t have an auspicious time in the Asia Cup as the Men in Green flattered to deceive having bowed out of the event before the final of the multi-nation event following a couple of losses to India and Bangladesh.
Arthur would hope for his team to put their best foot forward against Tim Paine’s men. In the meantime, he mentioned Virat Kohli, the Indian captain, as the best cricketer in the world. He is awestruck by the Delhi-born cricketer’s routine and his work ethics. Moreover, he also said that he would pay to watch Virat, AB de Villiers, and David Warner bat.
He is one of three batsmen I’d pay to watch
Virat’s hunger and desire to be the best sets him apart from the rest. Everything Virat does is almost fanatical… The way he lives his life, trains and plays his cricket… For Virat, it’s about becoming the best he can be. I have used Virat as an example for my players. The way he changed his lifestyle, the accent on fitness. I have enjoyed watching Virat grow as a cricketer.
Virat’s the best in the world… Purely as somebody passionate about cricket, he’s one of three batsmen I’d pay a lot of money to watch — AB de Villiers and David Warner being the other two. AB has retired completely from international cricket and Warner is currently ineligible to play for Australia,” Arthur was quoted as saying in The Telegraph.
Kohli recently scored his 24th Test century against the Windies at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot, which his team comprehensively won. He made his debut back in 2008 and has effortlessly been a grand success for India in all the three formats.
