India and Pakistan’s relationship have been in the doldrums over the last few decades. In the number of instances, these two Asian giants have been involved in some serious altercations. Both the governments have been at the loggerheads with each other. Recently another such incident came to the fore. On Thursday, February 14, at least 44 CRPF soldiers were killed in a terrorist attack.

The incident took place in Pulwama, a small district in the state of Jammu and Kashmir when an SUV, consisting of 300 kg explosives rammed into a convoy, carrying the Indian soldiers. The rather disgraceful attack was carried out by a Pakistan-based terrorist organization named Jaish-e-Mohammad and it was done with the help of a suicide-bomber Adil Ahmad Dar, a school dropout.

The entire nation of India has been in a state of shock ever since the shambolic occurring. People from commoners to personalities from various fraternities have slammed Pakistan and also condemned the horrendous act. The fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is currently underway and DSport, the tournament broadcaster in India, has also withdrawn.

Even a few websites have stopped the live updates from the tournament. India also revoked the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status from Pakistan and has also hiked the customs duty on all the goods exported from Pakistan to 200 percent. Furthermore, the Cricket Club of India (CCI) decided to cover Imran Khan’s photo in its premises including the restaurants.

In the meantime, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, also a former Pakistani cricketer, has opened up with a stern message. His Instagram account, named on his political party Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf, uploaded a picture, captioning it, “Prime Minister Imran Khan responds to Indian allegations on Pulwama Attack,”. In the photo, it was written, “Don’t Mess With My Country”
