Pakistan rise to No.2 in ICC T20I Team Rankings
Pakistan last played a T20I in March-April during the 4-match series against Windies.

Amidst the Champions Trophy the International Cricket Council (ICC) ha, updated the Twenty20 International Team Rankings. Pakistan after their victory over South Africa in the second league match of Group B has another pleasant news coming their way. The team has taken over England at the second position in the ICC T20I Team Rankings.
As on June 9, Pakistan have 121 ratings which is equal to England’s ratings but the Asian team leads them in the rankings. The Pakistan team has played 20 matches which is 7 more than England as well as New Zealand who have played 13 matches each. The Kiwis lead the T20I Team Rankings with 125 rating points and sit pretty on top of the table.
Pakistan last played a T20I in March-April during the 4-match series against the reigning champions in the format Windies at their backyard in the Caribbean that they won comfortably by a 3-1 margin. Since the World T20 2016, they have played 8 matches, won 7 and lost just 1 game.
England who have slipped to third last featured in a T20I in January-February during the 3-match T20I series in India and lost 2-1 to the hosts after taking lead first up. Since the World T20 2016 where the English team finished as runners-up they have played 5 matches, lost 3 and won 2.
Team India is placed on the fourth spot with 118 ratings whereas the World T20 Champion team West Indies hold the fifth position with 114 ratings. Both the teams have played 18 matches and have 2119 and 2054 points.
The South African team that is at the top of the ICC ODI Team Rankings finds themselves as low as number No.6 in the T20I Rankings with 111 ratings in 15 matches and the Australian team that is second to them in the ODI scenes is placed 7th.
