Things are getting a bit awaked for all-rounder Parvez Rasool. A day before yesterday, his state team Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) had apparently asked him to return the pitch roller or be under police custody. The 32-year-old has said he is being framed for no reason and wants the Indian board to take a call regarding the allegations made by JKCA.

Rasool feels he finds some foul play in this by JKCA and says their intention does not look clear to him. It all started when Rasool was accused of stealing a roller. While few in JKCA feel the matter is blown out of proportion just because Rasool’s name is in their register for his district.

The all-rounder has now responded and he firmly feels he is victimized. “They said police action will be taken. Then in the mail, they said, do we have enough proof to nail him down. Does that mean you have come here to nail me down? Their intention looks different,” Rasool, the lone J&K player to represent the Indian team told The Indian Express.

Rassol further opined that he was left disappointed when one of the officials wrote on the social website of how this matter of Rassol should be stretched so that he can give up easily and hangs himself. According to the 32-year-old, the official deleted this comment immediately after posting it.

“The official deleted it but I have the screenshot of it. Can anyone tell me what wrong I have done that I need to be hanged? If you have any doubts, they have my phone number, they can call me. It took mere seconds to clarify but it seems they wanted to victimize me,” he explains.

Parvez Rasool clears his stance on the Roller matter

Now, Rasool opens about his side of the story and has said he never expected such things to happen. “Roller is not like a tennis ball that I can keep in my pocket and roam wherever I want to. It’s for ground use, it’s for cricket development. I really don’t know why these things are happening here. I got a ‘second notice’ which stated that we had sent you a notice on 5th of July.”
