Speedster Pat Cummins has finally returned home after serving the mandatory quarantine period. The last few weeks have been extremely challenging for Cummins and other Australian players who participated in the now-postponed Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021. After the season got suspended midway due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Australian contingent had to travel to the Maldives due to the travel ban imposed by the Australian government.

While the Aussie cricketers landed in Sydney on May 17, they had to undergo another quarantine period before returning home. Nevertheless, the long wait was over on Monday, May 31, as the cricketers finally reunited with their families. Cummins had an emotional reunion with his pregnant fiancee Becky Boston, and their love is winning hearts on the internet. Seeing the Kolkata Knight Riders’ star (KKR) coming out of the hotel, Becky went straight to him and gave a tight hug.

Her emotions were evident as Cummins was returning home returning nearly after two months. Australian journalist Chloe-Amanda Bailey shared the video of the incident on Twitter, and the emotional clip didn’t take long to get viral.

Cummins and Boston have been dating for a long time and have never hesitated in expressing love for each other on social media.  In April, Becky revealed that the top-ranked Test bowler is set to become a father this coming spring. She took to her Instagram story and shared a picture with the ‘mini baby bump.’

Meanwhile, the Aussie pacer might not get to spend a lot of time at home as he has been picked in Australia’s preliminary squad for the West Indies tour. The Men in Yellow will meet West Indies in five T20Is and three T20Is, starting from July 9. With the ICC T20 World Cup slated to take place later this year, the Aussies would like to identify their best combination during the series.

Speaking of IPL 2021, the remaining season is set to take place in UAE. Although the dates are yet to come, Cummins has jolted KKR by pulling out of the competition. The 28-year-old spearheaded Kolkata’s bowling attack in the first half of the tournament, and hence, his absence would be a massive blow for the two-time champions.
