People portrayed me almost 10 inches taller, clarifies Afghanistan fan Sher Khan

West Indies whitewashed Afghanistan with utter dominance in the three-match ODI series. And, now both the teams will lock horns in the shorter format of the game starting on November 14. Meanwhile, Sher Khan, an Afghani fan, had hogged the limelight recently due to his height and has come out with the revelations on what all difficulties he has faced till now in India.

On Thursday, in the final encounter of the 50-over series, Afghanistan posted a decent total of 247 runs in front of West Indies. During, the chase, a slow but a brilliant century coming from the bat of Shai Hope helped the team to win the 3rd ODI that was played at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. Also, this is the first ODI series win of the Caribbean team in last five years. Earlier, they defeated Bangladesh by 3-0 back in 2014.

Sher Khan reveals his actual height and difficulties that he faced in India

In a telephonic conversation with Deccan Chronicle, Sher Khan said that the people in India have portrayed him taller than his actual height. As per him, his actual height is 7’4″, not 8’2″. The Afghani fan also recited that he is a bachelor and is into the business of dry-fruit. Also, he added that this is not his first time in the subcontinent country.

“People here have portrayed me almost 10 inches taller than my actual height. I am not 8’2″ as is being reported in the media. My height is 7’4″. I am a bachelor and no one in my family is as tall as me. I am in the dry-fruit business in my country and this is not my first visit to this country,” Sher Khan said.

The tall Afghan fan caught many eyeballs when he was not getting the hotel to stay in Lucknow because of his height. He came to India all the way from Kabul to attend the ODI series between Afghanistan and West Indies but, he couldn’t find a proper roof to stay because of his appearance and height. However, the police helped him in getting proper accommodation, after verifying his documents and credentials.
