Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars to participate in Emirates T20 cup

Peshawar Zalmi created history by winning the first-ever Pakistan Super League match held in Pakistan. They also won the second edition of the PSL with Kamran Akmal grabbing the best wicket-keeper as well as best batsman’s award. Shahid Afridi played an important role in their journey towards the championship.
The most important thing he did was that he convinced their foreign players to travel to Pakistan. Darren Sammy was pivotal in Zalmi’s triumph. That said, these two pillars of the Peshawar are going to play for them once again. Good news does not end here, the thing that you don’t have to wait for long to watch them play is even more exciting.
Two teams from Peshawar Zalmi will play in the Emirates Airline T20 2017. It will be a two-day affair as teams from England, West Indies and Pakistan will participate. From Pakistan the other than Peshawar Zalmi, Lahore Qalandars have agreed to participate in the tournament. The good news for the Qalandars fans is that Brendon McCullum and James Franklin will participate in the tournament.
For Peshawar, it will be Afridi who has now recovered from his stitches and Darren Sammy has confirmed his availability.
Birmingham Bears and Lancashire lightening are the two teams from England that have decided to participate. Jamaica Tallawahas is the team from West Indies that will travel to Dubai. The matches will be played in Dubai Sports City (DSC) cricket stadium in UAE.
The players will also indulge in coaching activities. The international players will interact with the youngsters and will share their invaluable knowledge. There are also recreational activities for the families and it supposed to be a fun event.
The event is planned over two days as per the reports it will be on 23rd and the 24th of this month. A total of six matches will be played in two consecutive days.
