BBC sports presenter Piers Morgan is proving that he is one adamant guy. Usually, people forget things after banter but that’s not the case with Morgan. The journo, known for his sarcastic approach towards the game, has come out once again and has challenged his Twitter nemesis Virender Sehwag.

“Hi @virendersehwag, I bet you 1 million rupees to the charity that England wins an ODI World Cup before India wins an Olympic Gold. Accept?”

Entertainment master Virender Sehwag is yet to comment on tweet and fans will be eagerly awaiting for him to fire a reply. But, tweeps did not hold back a second and gave him back some crunch replies. This is just the beginning and hilarious replies and trolls are expected to come.

Funnily, Morgan seems to be unaware of the fact that India already has won Gold medals in the past with the most recent coming in the 2008 Beijing Olympics when shooter Abhinav Bindra won the first ever shooting Gold for India. He realised his mistake quickly and made a correction to his tweet adding ‘another medal’ to his sentence. Here’s his corrected tweet:

Piers Morgan trolls India

This tweet, days after the end of the banter, tells one thing – He surely seems in some desperate need for publicity. About a week ago, Morgan was the top trending name on Twitter in India. His remarks about the Indian Olympians was not well received.

One of Morgan’s tweets read: “If India can produce a batsman as brilliant as @sachin_rt then it can produce Gold medal-winning Olympians. Needs investment & focus.”

He was trolled back badly. Virender Sehwag was one of the people to jump into the fray and take a shot at the journalist.
