British journalist Piers Morgan has made it a habit to be in the cricket news these days. On most occasions, he makes the headlines with his tweets. At times, these tweets are direct attacks with blunt emotions and at times, they are aimed at Virender Sehwag. The tweet banter between Virender Sehwag and Piers Morgan is a very well known tweet war now.

Both men have been known to take hilarious digs at one another. In a recent tweet, Morgan was asked to pick who the three current best batsmen in Test cricket are. The English journalist had no hesitation in mentioning the names of ‘Root, Kohli and de Villiers’. English batsman Joe Root is the mainstay of the England batting attack at the moment.

Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli has had a phenomenal run in all the formats in this calendar year. Kohli has struck two brilliant double tons in Test cricket this year. No wonder, why Piers Morgan included Virat Kohli in his top three Test batsmen. Surely, this will please the Indian fans. It will be interesting to see what Virender Sehwag has to say about the same.

The third mention is of South African batsman AB de Villiers. De Villiers is often hailed as the modern day master of the game. When he is in prime touch, he can be a destructive proposition for any opposing team. In his tweet, Morgan wrote, “Root, Kohli, De Villiers.”

Despite Morgan praising the Indian cricketer time and again, the fans of India seem to be intolerant towards him. The tweet by him was not well appreciated. The reason for this being the order in which Piers Morgan mentioned the three cricketers. The Indian fans expected Virat Kohli’s name to be written before the name of Joe Root. Well, the opinion is purely a personal one.

It will only be great if people let it be that way. For the moment, the world awaits what Virender Sehwag has to say on this.
