Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has been known to inspire many and the latest to join his fan club is none other than India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. Currently touring the Carribean for India’s limited-overs series, Jadeja was seen cycling on Wednesday morning outside the team hotel. Jadeja later took to Twitter on Thursday and revealed that Modi was his inspiration behind taking the bicycle ride.

It could also be a stance of Jadeja returning the favour. Earlier in 2015, Modi addressed Jadeja as “Sir”, on Twitter and wished the left-handed all-rounder best of luck prior to the World Cup which was jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand. The final was played between the tournament’s two co-hosts and was eventually won by Australia.

Team India is playing five ODIs and one T20I against the West Indies. While the initial two ODIs were played in Port of Spain, the following two ODIs are set to be played at the Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound before the groups at long last move to Jamaica for the fifth ODI and the solitary T20I. While the first ODI was washed off because of rain, India delivered a staggering all-around execution to whip West Indies by 105 keeps running in the second ODI at the Queen’s Park Stadium to take a 1-0 lead in the series. The teams will play their third match of the series on June 30.

Meanwhile, the BCCI has announced the India A squad for the upcoming tour of South Africa in July-August. Manish Pandey has been bestowed with the captaincy duties for the One-Day series while Karun Nair will lead the Test team. India A will play a tri-series featuring South Africa and Australia, which will be followed by two four-day matches against the hosts.
