'Poora Bharat aaram se ghar par rahega' - Virender Sehwag urges fans to stay at home in his signature way

In the wake of the coronavirus, the entire world of cricket has been affected. Cricket matches across the globe have been cancelled or postponed due to the outbreak of this massively dangerous virus. The contagious nature of the COVID-19 has prompted people throughout the world to take note of the situation. People have been advised to stay back at home in order to avoid the spread of the virus.

During these tough times, Indian cricketers have tried to spread as much awareness as possible. Many sportspersons have shared the video on how to wash your hands properly with soap and how to maintain hygiene to battle the spread of Coronavirus. Indian stalwart Sachin Tendulkar was one of the few who joined in hands for the WHO (World Health Organization) Safe Hands Challenge.

‘We shall overcome this soon’: Virender Sehwag

Tendulkar’s longtime friend and former teammate Virender Sehwag is a social media star of some sorts. The man has used his charismatic aura to make fans laugh by his tweets. He is an active user of Twitter. On Saturday, he posted a tweet in which he sent a message to the fans and urged the Indian public to stay back home during these times. He also said that if we all stay back at home, only then the coronavirus can be fought back. Sehwag also assured his fans that we all will soon recover from this fiasco.

He tweet, “Poora Bharat Aaram se Ghar par Rahega, Yeh Corona Virus yahaan se jald daudega. Please please stay at home and we shall overcome this soon.”

During the outbreak of the COVID-19, Virender Sehwag was in Mumbai playing in the Road Safety World Series 2020. The dashing opener had shown what he is still capable with a match-winning century in the opening match against West Indies legends. His side, India Legends, was led by Sachin Tendulkar and the likes of Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh, Irfan Pathan, Mohammad Kaif were also part of the team.

The tournament was attracting huge crowds during the matches but unfortunately, the tournament came to an abrupt end. After the outbreak, there were restrictions from the state government of Maharashtra. A few matches were played behind the doors before the tournament was cancelled altogether. For now, it has been reported that the tournament will take place sometime else when the threat of coronavirus has been dealt with.
