New entrants Gujarat Titans are surprising everyone with their excellent performances in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 so far. The Titans are placed right at top of the points table with only one loss in their seven matches so far this season.

GT has so far defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Delhi Capitals (DC), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The Titans have suffered defeat at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

The Titans will lock horns against the Orange Army once again in a group stage match to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 27 (Wednesday). GT, after defeating KKR in their previous encounter, will want to field the same playing XI.

Here’s a look at the Gujarat Titans predicted XI against Sunrisers Hyderabad:

Openers: Wriddhiman Saha (wk) and Shubman Gill

Wicketkeeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha played his second game in the tournament against KKR and scored 25 runs. The right-handed batter was not able to get going against the defending champions CSK as he made 11 of 18 balls. But, he is expected to get a few more opportunities due to his wicketkeeping skills and a fine track record in the tournament.

After giving some excellent performances, Shubman Gill’s form has dipped a bit. The right-handed batter scored only seven runs against his former franchise in the last match. In total, Gill has scored 207 runs in seven matches and will want to improve his performance against the Orange Army.

Middle Order: David Miller, Abhinav Manohar

South African batter David Miller has been in fine touch in the tournament so far. The left-handed batter remained unbeaten on 94 off 51 balls to seal the victory for the team in their fixture against CSK. Similarly, he played a vital knock of 27 off 20 balls in his previous match against KKR.

Young batter Abhinav Manohar has been involved in some vital partnerships for his team. However, he has not been able to show his A-game so far. In seven innings, he has scored 108 runs at a strike rate near 150. However, he failed to put score runs against the two-time champions in the last match and will want to rectify his error.

All-rounders: Hardik Pandya, Rahul Tewatia

Skipper Hardik Pandya has been exceptional for his franchise in IPL 2022. The right-handed batter has amassed 297 runs in just six innings and has picked up four wickets as well. He has led the team from the front by batting in the top order and bowling in the field restrictions as well.

After an excellent cameo in the game against PBKS, Rahul Tewatia has not contributed much, but he scored a quickfire 17 off 12 balls in his last match. In six innings, he has 96 runs to his name, with a strike rate above 150. He will also want to give his best with both bat and ball in the next match against the Orange Army.

Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammed Shami, and Yash Dayal

Not just only batting, but GT bowlers have also shown that they do have some depth in bowling as well. The international trio of Rashid Khan, Lockie Ferguson, and Mohammed Shami have been at their very best so far. West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph has also scalped three wickets in his two matches till now.

Meanwhile, youngster Yash Dayal who was added to the playing XI in the last match was pretty impressive, scalping two crucial wickets of KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer and Rinku Singh. However, the left-arm pacer was a touch expensive giving away 42 runs in his four-over quota.

GT’s predicted playing XI for SRH clash: Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya (c), David Miller, Abhinav Manohar, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Lockie Ferguson, Mohammed Shami, and Yash Dayal.
