The few months have been tough for Shikhar Dhawan. He’s had to battle three to four injuries and has been away for a while. But whenever he was back on the field, he has displayed his potential and was highly impressive in the two ODIs that he batted against Australia.

Shikhar apparently has recovered from his Grade-II shoulder injury and there is a chance that he might also play the ODI series against South Africa. Moreover, he will have an important role to play for his team in the IPL. Thus, these two games could be the ideal preparation for him to get into the T20 mode.

Both Shikhar and Tamim are free stroke-makers and could provide the side with a wonderful start. They enjoy piercing the gaps through the off-side and it should be interesting to see them in action together. But will Shikhar be able to regain his touch back soon enough after this layoff?
