Young Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw has bagged a new sponsor for the period of next five years. Shaw is currently in New Zealand where he is leading the India U19 team in the ICC U19 World Cup. The Men in Blue have huge expectations from the young colts in the tournament. In the warm-up fixture, India U19, led firmly by Prithvi Shaw, thumped the South African team by a mammoth margin of 189 runs.

Soon after the win, Shaw received another big news in the form of an endorsement. He has been signed as the brand ambassador of the prominent protein brand named Protinex. The endorsement deal will go on for the next five years. Protinex is one of the older brands in the market of protein supplements and health products. It is associated with food company Danone.

As per the endorsement deal, Prithvi will be featuring in the brand campaigns for Protinex and all other marketing initiatives. It is worth noting that recently Prithvi Shaw had also signed a mega deal with tyre manufacturing brand MRF. Commenting on his new deal with Protinex, the Mumbai lad quoted that the protein is one of the important nutrients for the right growth and active lifestyle. He noted that his association with Protinex has been ever since his childhood days.

“Protinex has been part of our household since my childhood, even before I can remember. Protein is important for the right growth and maintaining active lifestyle. In fact, it’s not just important for sportsmen like me but for everyone across all walks of life,” quoted Prithvi Shaw.

Being the child prodigy

Prithvi Shaw first broke out at the big stage when he clubbed 546 runs in just 330 balls in a Harris Shield game in Mumbai. Soon, he found himself in the Mumbai squad for the Ranji Trophy as a 17-year old young kid. He smashed a century on his Ranji Trophy debut. Also, he followed it up with a century on his Duleep Trophy debut.
