Prithvi Shaw joins the league of Tendulkar, Virat after MRF signing

Young Mumbai batsman, Prithvi Shaw, is creating some serious ripples in the Indian domestic circuit. The elegant opener has registered five hundreds in the 8 First Class matches that he has played in. At the bare age of 18, Shaw has the distinction of scoring centuries on his Ranji Trophy and the Duleep Trophy debuts.

Recently, he was named as the captain of the India U19 team that would tour New Zealand for the ICC U19 World Cup 2018. Now, Prithvi Shaw has joined the elite league of players like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. He has recently been signed by the tyre manufacturing company MRF. MRF has been associated with some of the biggest names in the cricket world in the past.

As per the recent quotes in News18, Shaw exclaimed his happiness over his new endorsement. He conceded that he is humbled to have been signed by MRF – a company that had earlier signed Brian Lara, Sachin Tendulkar, and Steve Waugh.

“I’m honoured & humbled to be playing soon with a MRF bat as I have grown up watching my idols like Sachin sir, Brian Lara sir & now Virat sir playing with them and scoring tons of runs & bringing laurels for our country. I am thankful to MRF for associating with me,” quoted Prithvi Shaw.
