The 22nd match of the ongoing sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) saw a thrilling encounter between Karachi Kings and Islamabad United. The match was truly owned by Islamabad batters as Colin Munro and Iftikhar Ahmed caused carnage on the field with the willow to take their team home in a run chase of 191 runs.
However, Mohammad Amir stole all the thunder during the game as he was involved in a heated altercation with Iftikhar. The last ball of the 15th over, saw Iftikhar smashing a blistering boundary off Mohammad Amir and adding another four runs to the scoreboard. The shot played by Ahmed added to the frustration of Amir, who was having a bad day with the ball.
Thus, after the batsman hit the four, Amir starred at Iftikhar and said something in anger. Iftikhar wasn’t the one to back down as he too replied with some heated words. The episode became more intense with the entry of Karachi Kings skipper Imad Wasim. Wasim supported his bowler and himself got involved in a heated conversation with Iftikhar.
The situation finally cooled down when the umpires Asif Yaqoob and Rashid Riaz intervened and advised the players to maintain the peace.

Islamabad United won the PSL game against Karachi Kings
Iftikhar Ahmed was the wrecker-in-chief for United as they scripted a stunning eight-wicket victory over Karachi Kings. The game commenced with United skipper Shadab Khan winning the toss and electing to field. Batting first, Karachi managed to post a decent total of 190 runs on the scoreboard.
Babar Azam was again at his fluent best with the willow as he played a sublime knock of 81 runs off just 54 deliveries. He was aptly supported by Najibullah who added 71 runs to the scoreboard in 42 balls. Chasing 191, Colin Munro and Iftikhar shouldered the responsibility of taking Islamabad home.
Munro was the highest run-getter with 88 runs from 56 balls. However, it was Ahmed who assured a victory for his team as he played a quickfire knock of 71 runs off 39 deliveries. As far as Mohammad Amir is concerned, he had a torrid outing with the ball as he went wicketless and leaked 32 runs in 3.4 overs.
