This CrickingDuels Fantasy guide is for the first qualifier of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season which will be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The league stage has come to an end and the top two teams in the points table are set to lock horns in a high-octane clash at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. However, the Men in Yellow have the momentum on their side with a resounding win in their last game even as their opponents are coming off a hattrick of losses.

Kane Williamson will be worried about the form of his bowlers who have been pummelled by the opposition in the last few matches. Though all of them champions in their own way and should be geared up for the most important game of the season. A place in the final is up for grabs and CSK knows how to win big matches having been part of the most number of title clashes in the IPL. It will be an interesting encounter and the nerves of some of the best players would be tested. Here we bring to you the CrickingDuels Fantasy guide for the game:

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK):

Batsmen

It is a crunch game and I cannot afford any kinds of experiments. Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan are the two batsmen from the Orange Army who have been exceptional this season. While the Kiwi has hit 8 half-centuries so far, the left-hander has found his groove at the right time. Ambati Rayudu undoubtedly has to be picked after amassing 586 runs this year. Now, the fourth and final batsman of my team is Suresh Raina given the way he took the responsibility on him after the openers fell early in the last game. He seems to have regained his touch at the right time and the game-changing knock might be just around the corner.

All-Rounders

Shane Watson comes into my mind straightaway in this department. It is a no-brainer decision for him to have in the fantasy team and moreover, I am making him the captain of my team. He has repaid the faith showed in him by the franchise and must be fresh after being rested in the previous encounter. The next all-rounder in my team would raise a few eyebrows. I have gone with Yusuf Pathan just as a back up in case one of my top-order players fails. Also, I don’t have many credits after picking a star-studded list of the batsmen for this game.

Wicketkeeper

Here again, I am going with Shreevats Goswami which will surprise many. He opened in the last match and played a quickfire knock which is important. Easily, many would go for MS Dhoni and that is where any points from the left-hander would be a bonus for me. No wonder this is a gamble but if he goes on to score a half-century at the top, my rank in the public leagues will quickly rise.

Bowlers

Rashid Khan will be effective on any kind of surfaces and is known to strike regularly during his four-over spell. Siddarth Kaul is the other bowler from the SRH side I have picked and despite going for runs in the last few games, he will come back stronger in this crucial encounter. Deepak Chahar is an influential selection who has the ability to pick wickets with the new ball and then can bat if required which he proved against KXIP. Lungi Ngidi is the last batsman in my team who was literally unplayable on a green pitch in Pune. He is high on confidence currently and should continue in the same vein.

Note: You can also join the Hybrid Fantasy League introduced for the first time by CrickingDuels.
