Irfan Pathan’s breathtaking spell made headlines alongside Shubman Gill’s big-daddy hundred in Ranji Trophy on Saturday. Whilst Puducherry and Bihar registered thumping wins in their respective Plate division matches, Kerala are heading towards a huge win against Delhi.

Shubman Gill remained unbeaten on 199 as Punjab annihilated Tamil Nadu in their Group B fixture. After bowling out Tamil Nadu for 215 runs, Punjab finished day 2 at 308 for the loss of two scalps. Shubman’s 199 came off 234 balls, which included 21 fours and 4 sixes.

Kerala are on the verge of registering a morale-boosting win against Delhi. After scoring 320 runs in their first innings, they bowled out Deli for 139 runs and enforced a follow-on. In their second innings, Delhi stuttered yet again and they are 41/5, trailing by another 140 runs.

Pathan steering J&K to a famous win

Jammu & Kashmir took pole position against a much stronger side in Haryana courtesy a beautiful spell from Irfan Pathan. After bowling Haryana for 145 runs in reply to their 161, Parvez Rasool’s side scored 205 runs in their second innings. Pathan scalped four wickets in just 6.2 overs in the fourth innings as Haryana find themselves at 49/4 chasing 222 runs.

Hardik Pandya proves his fitness to national selectors with an impressive five-fer for Baroda against Mumbai. Aditya Waghmode and Vikram Solanki batted beautifully throughout the day to help Baroda finish on 244/1 in reply to Mumbai’s 465.
