Formerly known as Daredevils, the Delhi Capitals stand at 8th slot in this list. Having played for all the years since 2008, the team has been able to fetch victory in 76 matches out of the 177 games they played, and therefore their win per cent stands at 44

Owing to 97 lost matches and no title so far in the tournament, they stand at this position. They have two matches with no result in their bag. Despite having the decent line up for all the years, victories have not been fetching for the team.

The current year, their side will be led by young Shreyas Iyer who is looking confident to bring some good results for the team. Rishabh Pant, Ravi Ashwin, Shikhar Dhawan, Ishant Sharma will remain the significant names to watch out for during the tournament.

Having been in the tournament from the very starting and not missing a single season, even Punjab has not been able to bring single IPL trophy home. The franchise has only won 80 games out of the 176 played so far and so their win per cent sums up to be only 46.02. They stand at 7th slot in this list.

In their 12-year saga, they saw the face of loss in 94 matches and they have no match in their account that resulted in a draw. The Indian off-spinner Ravi Ashwin was leading the side for quite some time but his experience couldn’t bring the desired result for the team.

With Ashwin transferred to DC this year and talented KL Rahul taking over as new captain, the franchise will be striving hard to bring their maiden IPL trophy. Big names like Chris Gayle, Glenn Maxwell along with skipper KL Rahul himself are gearing them up so that the records of the team can stand in a respectable position.

The team which is actually led by one of the finest batsmen in the world and the current Indian skipper Virat Kohli has failed so far to make a mark in the IPL. Having being called chokers, the team stands at 6th slot in this list with meagre win per cent of 47.45.

Being active in the tournament right from inception, the team has only won 83 out of the 181 matches played until now. With players like AB de Villiers, Dale Steyn, Yuzvendra Chahal and skipper Kohli himself, they have been lacking to perform well as a team.

With no IPL trophies in their bag, 92 lost matches and a match that resulted in a tie, the team will be putting up its best show to level up their ranking in this chart. Aaron Finch, young Indian pace sensation Navdeep Saini are other names to watch out for this season.

The Rajasthan Franchise was there in the tournament since inception till 2015 at a stretch. They were banned for two years ie 2016 and 2017 for carrying allegations of being involved in fixing. They are again active since 2018. Having won 73 matches out of the 147 played, their win per cent sums up to 51.37

They have lost 69 matches so far and have one match that resulted in a tie. The great thing about Rajasthan Royals is they made a lightening entry in the opening season of IPL and lifted the trophy for the first time under the captaincy of Australian legend Shane Warne.

Another Australian great Steve Smith is leading the Rajasthan side currently and the franchise hopes to bring another trophy home under his ace leadership. Seeing greats like Ben Stokes, David Miller, Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer in the team, one can easily expect another trophy from them.

The significant thing about Kolkata Knight Riders is that they have bagged the IPL trophy twice in the year 2012 and 2014 under the captaincy of ace Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir. Their CEO Venky Mysore recently revealed that there was a “dog fight” for Gambhir in 2011 IPL auctions.

The team is currently led by wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik who will be eyeing trophy for the 3rd time in the history of IPL. Greats like Andre Russell, Shubhman Gill, Sunil Narine and Pat Cummins will be the names to watch out for in the upcoming season.

The new team lifted the IPL trophy in the season 2016 by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore. Their maiden trophy came under the captaincy of Australian stunner David Warner who will be leading the side again in the upcoming season of Indian Premier League slated to begin next month.

David Warner will be joining his SRH teammates to begin preparations for the next edition in UAE. Owing to the ball-tampering incident against South Africa in 2018, Warner had to step down from the captaincy of SRH but is back again this year will full vigour. Having been in the tournament since very starting, Mumbai always looks confident enough in the race to clinch the IPL trophy. Having lifted the trophy for four and maximum time by any team in IPL, MI is considered as a most successful team in the tournament, but according to their win percentage, they still have room to improve.

Having won 107 matches out of the total 187 played, their win per cent sums up to be 57.75. They lost on 78 occasions and have two matches in their account that ended in a tie. The great Indian batsman Rohit Sharma is ready yet again to lead the franchise with full confidence and enthusiasm.

Talking about their star-studded line-up, one can definitely think them to continue their winning streak. Having skilful players like Hardik Pandya, Keiron Pollard, Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell McClenaghan and Lasith Malinga and hitman himself, the franchise will be trying best to defend their precious trophy.

If one team that can surpass each and all in terms of win percentage, it definitely has to be none other than MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings. Having been in the tournament from 2008-2015 and then back again in 2018, CSK has seen some rough phase too. However, having won 100 matches out of 165 total played, their win per cent sums up to be magnificent 61.28

Having lost only on 63 occasions, the Yellow Army tops this chart in the most respectable way. Even being away from the league for 2 years, the team has 3 IPL trophies under their bag. It has a record of featuring in each and every playoff in the years it has played.

Under the captaincy of one of the most successful captains in the world, the team will walk ahead to fight for their 4th IPL trophy. The team will be carrying special emotions when MS Dhoni has bowed out of the international formats of the game recently. Faf du Plessis, Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo, Shane Watson and Josh Hazlewood would be some big names to watch out for.
