It is a well-renowned fact that Bollywood sensation Ranveer Singh is an avid follower of Indian cricket. The actor took to Twitter to reveal his happiness after India reached the finals of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy after comprehensively defeating Bangladesh by a margin of 9 wickets.

After winning the toss, Virat Kohli opted to take the field, backing their ability to chase down the total. Indian bowlers, as usual, were clinical in their performance as they restricted the Tigers to a total of 265. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Kedar Jadhav picked up a couple of wickets each in the process.

Chasing a below par target, Indian top ordered ensured the team reached the finals as Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli scored the required runs with ease. Rohit Sharma brought up his 11th ODI ton as he scored a silky 123 off 129 balls, scoring 15 boundaries and a six in his inning.

Chase master Virat Kohli remained unbeaten on 96 as he missed out yet another ODI ton batting second. Shikhar Dhawan dream run in the Champions Trophy continued as he became the highest run-scorer in the tournament with his 46.

Twitter started to explode as famous personalities in and outside the cricketing fraternity, poured in with their congratulatory messages for India. Ranveer Singh, who also was present in the India-Pakistan game at Edgbaston, joined in with his message on Twitter. He tweeted by saying,”What a DOMINANT performance!✊?Simply PHENOMENAL!??Brilliant match, boys!??One step away from glory! COME ON INDIA!#INDvBAN”

India takes on Pakistan next in the finals of Champions Trophy. India has had a royal dominance over their arch rivals when it comes to ICC events. India already won their match against Pakistan in the group stages of the tournament. Pakistan came back in style as they demolished champion sides such as South Africa and England to enter into the finals of the tournament.
