Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan received a delighting news on Sunday after ICC released the new list of rankings in the shortest format of the game. He surged to the top of the bowlers’ list in the T20 Internationals and has taken a giant leap at the highest level. Not long ago, he was crowned as the World No. 1 bowler in the 50-over format as well. However, Rashid was extremely happy after hearing the news and thanked his fans for all the love and support.

The leggie is currently in Zimbabwe getting ready for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers and would love to help Afghanistan qualify for the marquee event next year in England. His bowling will be key to the success of the team as he also played a key role in thrashing Zimbabwe by 4-1 in the recently concluded ODI series.

His partner Bhuvneshwar Kumar though jumped to 12th place after scalping 7 wickets in the series which also include a sensational five-wicket haul in the first match. Samuel Badree is at the third position while Imad Wasim has managed to hold on to the fourth rank this time.
