The outbreak of Coronavirus has sent shock waves all around the globe. So far, more than 16000 people have lost their lives due to the deadly virus. The world has gone into a global emergency. People from all sectors of society have been affected.

The world of cricket has taken the hit due to the coronavirus as well. All forms of cricket have been cancelled across the globe. In these desperate times, many cricketers have come forward and tried to spread awareness regarding Coronavirus pandemic. The Indian off-spinner Ravi Ashwin is also doing his part in trying to spread awareness and has been urging the fans to follow the required instructions and cooperate with the concerned people.

Ravi Ashwin’s own way of urging the fans to stay indoors

The Indian government has advised all its citizen to stay indoors as long as advised otherwise. The only way to escape this virus is probably to stay home and not go outside. Ashwin decided to change his Twitter username to “let stay indoors India” in the wake of the outbreak of COVID-19. This was meant to urge his fellow countrymen to stay at their homes.

Recently the Indian government had announced a “Janata curfew” on March 22 and it went quite well. The number of positive coronavirus cases are increasing day by day. The number of patients with the virus in India is nearing 500. It is said that if proper precautionary measures are not taken then the virus can spread a lot in the upcoming weeks causing great loss of life in India.

Ravi Ashwin also posted on Twitter regarding this. According to the offie, the next 2 weeks are going to be extremely crucial. With many cities announcing the lockdown across the country, the 33-year-old believes that it is the need of the hour. He believes if the situations are not taken control of, it could escalate and it would be mayhem.

Taking in all information ( both authentic and some seemingly panicky ones). One thing seems certain “The next 2 weeks are going to be extremely crucial”. Every city in India should literally feel deserted for the next 2 weeks, cos if this escalates it will be mayhem. #COVID19″ Ashwin tweeted.
