Indian allrounder Ravichandran Ashwin was today named the ICC Test cricketer of the year and the ICC Cricketer of the year 2016. The International Cricket Council (ICC) declared its annual awards today and it was a day of double delight for the Indian ace. Having thanked his family, teammates and coaches for their contribution in his acceptance speech Ravi Ashwin decided to host a Q&A session with his fans on Twitter.
There couldn’t have been a better day to interact with fans than the day when he became the 3rd Indian to be awarded the prestigious Sir Gary Sobers Trophy. He posted – “Alright no better day than this to have a chat with all you wonderful well wishers. Please type away #askash for the next 30 minutes.”

There was a flood of tweets with fans asking him a wide range of questions about how he is enjoying his bowling to his inspiration among other things. One particular comment caught his eye in which the fan aimed at the weak spot. Ashwin who has done exceptionally well in India has always been criticised for his lack of wickets overseas especially in England and South Africa and the question was on the same lines – “@ashwinravi99 Just only one thing i need from Ash anna to perform well in overseas #askash”

It certainly snapped something and Ashwin quickly pointed out that he has been among wickets on the tour of Sri Lanka, West Indies as well as Australia when the team toured in 2015. The offie replied – “@BeeRed_Bilal Sri Lanka, West Indies Australia laam by road travel ah?”

The fan probably realised that he had crossed into the territory he shouldn’t have and tried to make up for it with another tweet a selfie he had clicked with the cricketer. “@ashwinravi99 hahahha no na i mean in England and South Africa…. Thanks for the reply ???Do u remember this pic na ???”
