India fast bowler Mohammed Shami met with an unfortunate road accident early in the morning on Sunday. He sustained minor injuries in a road mishap while travelling from Dehradun to New Delhi as the news spread like wildfire. While many of his friends and the Indian teammates were worried about his health, his problems in the life are increasing apparently. However, the Indian off-spinner Ravi Ashwin has wished him a speedy recovery from the accident.

Ashwin and Shami have shared the same dressing room for a significant period of time now as both recently played together in South Africa during the three-match Test series. The bonding in the team is certainly great and there was no surprise when Rohit Sharma and now Ashwin has wished their teammate to come back strong on the field. In his tweet, Ashwin prayed for Shami and hoped that he will be back bowling in full tilt soon even realising that he has been going through a lot in his personal life.

“So much to endure in such little time, hope you recover and come back strong @MdShami11. Prayers for you ,” tweeted Ravi Ashwin for Mohammed Shami on Sunday.

Here’s Ashwin’s tweet:

Shami to miss IPL?

While Shami was recently cleared from the match-fixing allegations by the BCCI, they also awarded him with a Grade ‘B’ contract. Even the acting secretary of the Indian board CK Khanna had come out with a statement that they were confident that the cricketer will come out clean. He also wished him well for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) and England tour. Shami will feature for Delhi Daredevils in the IPL this year as the franchise is aiming to use his experience to win the tournament for the first time.

However, this injury to him has raised a lot of questions on his availability in the tournament and as of now, there is no update on the same.
