Ravichandran Ashwin is a relentless cricketer. Just after a couple of days since returning from the United States of America after wrapping up the T20I series, Ashwin will be wasting no time taking rest and will be seen in action playing in the Tamil Nadu Premier League tomorrow. The ace all-rounder will be leading his side Dindigul Dragon at the Chepauk stadium.

However, there was a slight worry lingering in his mind – the weather conditions. The match is currently under the threat of getting hindered due to bad weather and rains. Ashwin has just returned from the West Indies and USA.

The number one all-rounder in the Test format had a record-breaking time in the Caribbean Islands. With 17 wickets, he finished as the highest wicket-taker of the series. He looked stupendous with the bat as well, scoring 235 runs in four matches at an average of 58.75. The series also witnessed him claiming the Player of the series awards.

He ended the tour with impressive figures in the T20I series hosted at Lauderhill, USA. After receiving a bit of bashing in the high-scoring first game, Ashwin finished on a high taking a miserly 2/11 in the second T20I.

One factor which defined the whole tour was rains. It followed them everywhere. The test series saw West Indies escape twice due to bad weather. Later, it made an appearance in Lauderhill as well, washing out the second T20I to deny India a chance to level the bilateral series after losing the first game narrowly.

His team also has his rising Pune Supergiants teammate and namesake Murugan Ashwin. Other than him, the rest of the team comprises of local talents. The Dragons will be taking on Ruby Kanchi Warriors.
