Popular Tamil actor Rajnikanth is one of the iconic faces of the South Indian film industry. It will not be wrong to quote that he is the most revered star in the industry at the moment. The fans eagerly wait for his movie releases. And it is apparent that veteran Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin is also quite excited for the upcoming Rajnikanth flick, which is titled ‘Kaala’.

Kaala is set to release on June 7, 2018. On the eve of the release, Ravichandran Ashwin took to micro blogging site Twitter to express his excitement about the movie, albeit in an indirect way. He tried to use a pun in a very good way. The word ‘Kaala’ literally translates to black in Hindi. Citing a reference to the same, Ashwin remarked that there would definitely be ‘Kaala’ clouds over Chennai on June 7. He hinted at the massive interest of the fans for the movie.

Here is how Ravichandran Ashwin showed his excitement:

“Soooo Kaala clouds looming large in Chennai today!! Won’t need the clouds tomorrow .#KaalaFromTom,” Ravichandran Ashwin wrote in his tweet.

While the literal meaning of the word means black, the meaning of the word in the context of the film is something different. The movie director had earlier revealed that the name comes from Lord Yama, the god of death as per the Hindu mythology. The movie is about a don who settled in Mumbai after running away from his native land.

The movie was earlier scheduled to be released in the last week of April but had to be postponed. It has Nana Patekar, Samuthirakani, Huma Qureshi, Eashwari Rao, and Santhosh Narayan as the other lead characters in the movie. The movie is directed by Pa. Ranjith and is being produced by Dhanush’s Wunderbar Films.

Commenting on R Ashwin, the veteran off-spinner will be seen playing for the Dindigul Dragons in the TNPL 2018. Following his stint in the TNPL, he will be flying to England to join the Indian team for the Test series.
