Ace Indian off-spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin, and former Sri Lankan cricketer turned commentator, Russel Arnold, recently shared a very healthy conversation on the social media. It all started when Russel Arnold walked on to the pitch during the Nagpur Test for a pitch report.

The former Sri Lankan cricketer looked in a great mood and went on to do a bit of commentary in Tamil. The Tamil fans certainly had a great time listening to the Tamil skills of the Sri Lankan cricketer. Here is a video clip showing the same:

Later in the match, when Ravichandran Ashwin bagged the final Sri Lankan wicket, he became the fastest to reach to 300 wickets in Test cricket. Ashwin received congratulatory messages from the cricket fraternity for his efforts. Arnold joined in the list too. “Congratulations on your wonderful achievement @ashwinravi99 #quickestto300wkts always enjoy watching you bowl…..ah …and thanks for the ? after hearing my Thamisz pitch report this morning. #confidence,” tweeted Russel Arnold.

Ashwin responds back in style

Ashwin was quick to respond back to the tweet sent by Russel Arnold. Ashwin acknowledged the good wishes that came his way from the commentator. He further went on to quote that the Tamil commentary was very enjoyable. He also remarked that he loves the Twitter banters that he has with him on the social media side. All in all, the response from Ashwin showed how much the two gentlemen respect each other and enjoy the banters.

“Thanks Russ, enjoy your commentary in general, the Tamil commentary this morning was even more enjoyable, but your twitter banters are a notch better than the best,” Ravichandran Ashwin tweeted.
