Ravichandran Ashwin has had an auspicious time in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), leading the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). The Tamil Nadu-cricketer has captained his team with authority and resultantly, they are currently sitting on the top of the league table after yesterday’s comprehensive win against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Ashwin has also been clinical in all departments having performed decently with both bat, ball and in the outfield. The off-break bowler is indeed having a gala time at the mega event. Moreover, Prithi Ashwin, his spouse and their two daughters also accompanied him for the first couple of weeks. Yesterday, Prithi and the children flew back home.

Ashwin’s goodbye message

As they were heading back Prithi took to Instagram and shared a picture along with Adhya and Akhira. In the caption, she mentioned that Ravi Ashwin sent her off with a ‘good luck’ instead of a ‘love you’.

After leaving for home, she also posted a picture with her daughter along with Ashwin with a captain that they have left for home and they are missing the KXIP skipper.

And we ladies are off home. Miss us, skip! @rashwin99

Kings XI Punjab on a roll

The Punjab franchise has won four out of their five games thus far in the tournament. They have been stupendous and have managed to annihilate their oppositions one after the other. Their openers Chris Gayle and KL Rahul have given the team to a bludgeoning start on almost every occasion and they have presented themselves as a brute force to reckon with.

Their bowlers have also managed to deliver the goods and stemmed run flow when the oppositions were on a rampage and prevented them from posting the kind of total they were set up for. With the string of victories, Punjab look firm favourites to be the first team to qualify for the playoffs.
