RCB Cruise Over the Royals Army in the Eliminator RCB Vs. RR- Statistical Review: It was the clash of the Royals against the Royal Challengers at Pune in the big occasion of the Eliminator. Opting to bat first, RCB openers in the likes of Gayle and Kohli did not manage to pose the swiftest of the starts initially. Kohli seemed to be a bit occupied by pressure which affected his performance. The dismissal of both the openers did put RCB in definite spots of bother but the splendid centurion partnership between AB de Villiers and Uncapped Pro, Mandeep Singh set the tone for them and they posed a total of 180 runs on the board.

The target was never going to be easy and RR needed a desperate start to poise things up well. But it was the uncapped brilliance of Sreenath Arvind who set the early mood on in favour of RCB by dismissing the in form Shane Watson right in the second over of the innings. Wickets kept on falling from one end but it was Rahane who wasn’t ready to give up till the last delivery of the 14th over when he was caught by the safest pair of hands in the park of AB de Villiers. This managed to enforce the last nail into the RR coffin.

As a conclusion, RCB march on to Ranchi to play CSK in the second Qualifier.
