Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have been eluded of an Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy despite having a promising squad over the years. Among the players, Virat Kohli has scored the most runs (730) in the matches between these two sides in the IPL. He is followed by AB de Villiers (488), Ajinkya Rahane (347) and Sanju Samson (413). Among the bowlers, Yuzvendra Chahal has picked up the most wickets (23), followed by Harshal Patel (17) and Shreyas Gopal (14).

Both sides last met in Match No. 19 of IPL 2024 at Jaipur where Rajasthan Royals thrashed Royal Challengers Bengaluru by 6 wickets. RCB batted first and posted a competitive total of 183/3 in their allotted 20 overs. Skipper Faf du Plessis scored 44 off 33 while the former skipper Virat Kohli smashed a magnificent century and scored 113 runs off 72 balls. However, no other batter could contribute anything to the scorecard. In reply, RR chased the target quite comfortably with 5 balls to spare. Jos Buttler scored an outstanding century off just 58 deliveries. Skipper and wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson also played a brilliant knock off 42 balls.
